SNG Grant Thornton has more than 1 000 people working in 13 cities below:
We provide assurance, advisory, tax specialist advice to dynamic organisations – listed companies, large privately held businesses and private equity backed organisations.
We have an active secondment programme – and with a global network of approximately 500 offices located in over 100 countries – the possibilities are endless.
Absolutely, we believe that maintaining work-life balance if the key to success. Besides work, we all have other commitments and interests. There will of course be times, like financial year-ends, when we need to put in extra time.
We’re big on social events. Not just when we have news to celebrate or because these events are fun. For us, social events are a forum for building relationships with our team, current and prospective clients, alumni and the media.
In addition to our firm events, our trainees have their own social committee which organises social events such as exam release celebrations, team building and more.
At SNG Grant Thornton, you’re not just a trainee. You’re an individual in whom we invest our energy and time – giving you exposure to a diverse range of clients as well as our business advisory services. That’s because we believe that your three-year traineeship is not an end in itself. Rather, it’s the start of your brilliant career – be it in the accounting profession or in the business world.
Traineeship is available at our offices in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, East London, Nelspruit, Polokwane, Thohoyandou, Bloemfontein, Kimberley, Rustenburg, Mahikeng and Qwa-Qwa.
You can apply for a training contract at any point while studying within the CA stream. However, you can only start working with us once you have obtained your CTA qualification.
If you are completing your CTA qualification or B.Com Honours in 2018 and pass your November exams, you can start in January 2019.
At SNG Grant Thornton, our trainees are not just audit trainees. There are opportunities to work in our advisory teams, whether it is corporate finance, tax or IT advisory, there is scope beyond traditional audit.
